Family Life Education (FLE)
Is a preventive service for adolescents and young
adults, both male and female, which helps increase their knowledge
of human sexuality, nutrition, personal hygiene, self-esteem,
and aids them in developing decision-making skills.

Program Components:
Education, instruction and counseling to groups
in sheltered workshops, residential facilities, vocational centers,
public schools and other social service agencies who service
persons who are developmentally disabled as well as training
of service providers and paraprofessionals in order to clarify
misconceptions pertaining to youth and adults who are developmentally
disabled.
Eligibility:
Adolescents and young adults who are developmentally
disabled.
Service boundaries: City-wide.
